Business mediation – opportunities and risks of out-of-court dispute resolution

The Mediation Act has created new ways of resolving corporate conflicts. Business mediation is an efficient, resource-saving alternative to court proceedings and opens up new areas of advice for lawyers.

With the Mediation Act, which came into force on July 26, 2012, the legislator has opened the door wide for out-of-court mediation procedures. Conflicts are omnipresent in everyday business life. Whether between or within companies, wherever people work together, conflicts can arise. These do not necessarily have to be resolved in court. Business mediation is a cost-, time- and resource-saving option.

On November 9, 2013, Oliver Boltze will present the further areas of advice and thus opportunities available to advising lawyers in a seminar at the Freiburg Bar Association.
